As part of our ambitious growth strategy, we are looking to appoint a Senior Building Surveyor to be based in London. Joining a supportive network as part of a national team, you can expect to receive valuable training, guidance and genuine scope for career development.

 

You can expect to become involved in:

  • A range of project and professional work in London and the South East region.
  • A major flagship heritage scheme, amongst others. 
Your core duties will include:
 
  • Running large and/or complex projects, monitoring progress and expenditure, and planning and managing project resources
  • Providing assistance with the bid process and undertaking business development activities 
  • Preparing and overseeing designs and reports
  • Undertaking surveys in accordance with the firm’s procedures
  • Representing the firm at client meetings, presentations etc
  • Monitoring day to day programming and planning
  • Assisting with planning and managing project resources including technical development of junior staff

About You

    In order to be considered for this role, you must have: 
  • Chartership with relevant experience
  • Excellent technical knowledge and good business development skills
  • The ability to promote best practice in survey and project delivery 
  • Ability to manage, monitor and control workload and resource allocation
  • Ability to recognise own limitations and seek advice and support when needed
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage time with multiple tasks
  • Ability to be a team player and be motivated to deliver excellence
  • Ability to monitor progress and expenditure of projects 
 

In order to stand out from the crowd, it is desirable for you:

  • To have interest and/or experience in business development.
  • To be undertaking regular CPD activities.
  • To have experience working for public sector clients.
  • To have experience working within heritage.
