Our Opportunity

Are you an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor, looking to take the next step in your career? Or are you a Senior Building Surveyor wanting to expand your knowledge in a new role?
 
Due to continued and sustained expansion of our Building Surveying discipline, we are looking to appoint a Senior Building Surveyor in either our Leicester or Birmingham Office.
 
This role will see you delivering exciting projects across a range of sectors to include heritage, education, healthcare, commercial, central government, defence and retail. You can expect to join a vibrant team and inclusive office, delivering a varied range of building surveying commissions. This includes but not limited to, building and acquisition surveys, measured building surveys, facet surveys, condition surveys and lifecycle maintenance planning. Our aim is to ensure our clients meet their sustainability goals and plan for the future. We do this by providing practical advice based on a thorough understanding of existing building constraints and opportunities.

As Senior Building Surveyor you will plan and manage project resources, prepare, and oversee designs / reports, and have day-to-day control of internal costs and fee invoices. You will have the opportunity to be able to mentor more junior staff, providing support with their technical development. Additionally, you will be responsible for liaising directly with clients and other stakeholders as appropriate.

About You

Our ideal Senior Building Surveyor must have: 
  • RICS Chartered status
    • Knowledge of building principles, preparing plans and specifications
    • JCT and NEC contract administration experience
    • Experience already working within a Building Surveying role
    • Ability to monitor and report on progress and expenditure of projects, with sound knowledge of drafting technical documents
    • An interest in developing and sustaining client relationships
It would be nice for you to have:
  • The ability to work well in a team and motivated to deliver excellence 
  • A commitment to delivering a high-quality client experience
  • The ability to work to deadlines and manage your time with multiple tasks 
  • Ability to manage, monitor and control workload and resource allocation
  • Experience of large survey programmes
