At Pick Everard, we’re dedicated to protecting lives, property, and the environment through intelligent fire engineering solutions. We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Fire Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of fire safety strategies across a diverse range of building and infrastructure projects.

This new venture will see you playing a pivotal role as Associate Fire Engineer. You will lead the development of a new dedicated Fire Engineering Team, developing the in-house capability to deliver fire engineering best practice.

You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the UK, ensuring compliance with the latest fire safety regulations and industry best practices.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Help ensure that fire safety is embedded into the heart of design, protecting lives, assets, and the environment.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and local authorities to deliver practical and compliant fire engineering solutions.
  • Stay ahead of evolving fire codes, technologies, and global best practices.
  • Assist in developing fire safety strategies for new and existing buildings aligned with standards like NFPA, BS 9999, and IBC.
  • Carry out fire risk assessments, egress and smoke control studies, and fire modelling (FDS, PyroSim, Pathfinder).
  • Support fire design integration across disciplines including MEP, structural, and architectural.
  • Contribute to site inspections, meetings, and evaluations of fire protection systems such as sprinklers, alarms, and smoke management.

As an Associate Fire Engineer you will add real value, making a positive impact across the business. You will have ownership over your projects, providing you with a great level of autonomy. You’ll become part of a business with an excellent reputation in the industry for client care and quality. In addition you will work and collaborate with a diverse range of industry experts.
