Pick Everard has been supporting clients to deliver high-quality and efficient property and construction projects for over 150 years. With great levels of business growth and a vast pipeline of work, our Building Surveying discipline are looking to appoint an Intermediate Building Surveyor to join the team in Manchester. You can expect to be involved in a range of diverse and interesting projects across both the private and public sector, with clients in healthcare, housing, education, and many more.

Our team of building surveyors work across a variety of sectors with the current portfolio of works across healthcare, education, heritage, commercial and local authority sectors. As Intermediate Building Surveyor, you will work closely with the building surveying team to ensure projects are completed on budget and to schedule. You will also be responsible for surveys, designs, reports and contract documents as required.  Other responsibilities of the role include:

  • Manage small / medium sized projects as appropriate
  • Carry out building surveys, measured surveys and building inspections
  • Attend meetings/ presentations where appropriate
  • Undertake on-site or other survey work
  • Check and review documents, draft reports etc.

About You

This role will suit an enthusiastic Graduate/ Intermediate Building Surveyor who has at least 2 years relevant experience and a degree in a related field (ideally building surveying or similar). The successful Graduate/ Intermediate Building Surveyor will also have the following attributes:

  • Experience in general building surveying duties, managing and delivering Multi-Discipline Projects
  • Knowledge of building principles, preparing plans and specifications
  • Ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Logical and practical mind
  • Team player and self-motivated
  • Presentation and report writing skills
  • Building Surveying Degree - essential
