Our Architects are passionate about design and the impact it can have on the environments around us. We have been working with clients to understand their needs and aspirations for over 150 years, operating over a broad range of sectors.

With exciting project work secured with the Ministry of Justice (MOJ), our Architect discipline are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Architect who enjoys a varied and fast-paced environment. This role provides a challenging and exciting opportunity to develop a rewarding career, supported by talented and experienced professionals across our multi-disciplinary consultancy.

As Senior Architect, you will be accountable for the management of contracts and staff on a variety of projects. Other responsibilities of the role include:

  • Represent the firm at client meetings, presentations, etc.
  • Prepare and oversee designs and reports
  • Control the day-to-day programming and planning, as well as internal costs
  • Chair meetings and prepare/oversee production of minutes of meetings
  • Develop repeat business for the practice

About You

Essential requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a similar role in the construction environment
  • Professional qualification (RIBA Part 3 + ARB registered)

The successful candidate will have a strong experience in running their own projects with demonstrable leadership qualities.

Further skills and experience we would like you to have:

  • Knowledge of preparing and overseeing designs and reports
  • Ability to control internal costs
  • Ability to manage junior staff
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage time with multiple tasks
