Due to great levels of growth within the Project Management discipline, and as we quickly become the leading consultancy to offer services within the blue light sector, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager to help deliver projects that meet the complex needs of today’s emergency service providers.

Some of the projects that Pick Everard have been delivering to the blue light sector so far include headquarter offices, stations, custody suits and criminal justice centres, education centres, contact and control rooms and vehicle maintenance facilities. This role provides a unique and exciting opportunity to develop a rewarding career, supported by talented and experienced professionals across our multi-disciplinary consultancy.

As Senior Project Manager, you will be accountable for the successful delivery of a variety of projects for our blue light clients. Other responsibilities of the role include:

  • Undertake Project and Key Account Management duties to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
  • Monitoring project activities, project fee income and expenditure
  • Participate in Project Manager Governance Group as required
  • Ensure delivery of business plan objectives
  • Key role in business development activities including leading bids and presentations to clients
  • Coach and develop other members of the Project Management team

About You

Essential requirements:

  • Degree and 7+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Membership with a relevant professional body (RICS, CIOB, APM etc)
  • Project Management related qualification (Prince 2 etc)

We are looking for an open-minded senior level Project Manager who can lead and grow our blue light offering. The successful candidate will have a strong Project Management ability with demonstrable leadership qualities.

Further knowledge and experience we would like you to have:

  • Knowledge of building technology and construction principles
  • Understanding of risk management
  • Good knowledge of forms of building contracts (including JCT and NEC3)
  • Excellent client communication skills, combined with strong presentation and report/bid writing skills
  • Full UK driving license
