As a Structural Engineer you will be responsible for the design and management of a diverse range of projects across sectors to including health, education, commercial, custodial and residential. Take a look at some of our projects here: Discover our projects - Pick Everard

You will deliver technical and commercial structural solutions, developing a design brief from internal and external clients/ project managers. You will prepare supporting calculations and preparation of drawings

As a Structural Engineer you will be passionate about designing sustainable buildings, working within a forward thinking multi-disciplinary practice and be enthused by working across varying sectors within the built environment. 

Our ideal Structural Engineer must have:

  • A minimum of BSc or BEng in Civil/Structural Engineering (2.2 min.), MSc or MEng preferred
  • Good verbal communication – able to discuss work, and communicate effectively to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Experience relevant to UK practice and knowledge of UK design standards, codes of practice and methods of construction
  • Familiarity with structural engineering modelling, analysis, and design software (AutoCAD and Revit)
  • A good understanding of building structures behaviour

It would be nice for you to have:

  • The ability to work to deadlines and manage time with multiple tasks
  • Approaching Incorporated/Chartered membership of ICE or IStructE
  • Experience visiting sites
  • The motivation to undertake relevant CPD and to increase skills and knowledge

 

 

 

 

and assist with day-to-day commercial management of structural engineering commissions.

You will also have opportunities to achieve chartered status, with mentors for both IStructE and ICE and access to regular workshops and seminars tailored to signing off the core objectives as part of the chartership process.

About You
