At Pick Everard, we value talented leaders. We are looking to appoint an Associate Building Services Electrical Engineer to join our flourishing Building Services team. As an Associate Building Services Electrical Engineer, you will focus on the design and management of a diverse range of projects. You will work to ensure projects are delivered to the right scope of time, quality and budget. You will be responsible for framework cost management, consultancy, feasibility, design, project management, construction and contract management. You will undertake stakeholder engagement including clients, contractors and end-users and participate in business development activities and bid proposals/client presentations. You will supervise a team of engineers and technicians and assist in management of project resources and costs.

About You

Our ideal Associate Building Services Engineer (Electrical) must have: 

  • Knowledge and understanding of BS7671
  • Hands on knowledge and understanding of electrical and lighting design software’s such as Amtech/Dialux
  • Knowledge of current H&S/CDM requirements and current legislation e.g., UK Building Regulations
  • Good verbal communication – able to discuss work, coach and supervise employees
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or IEng, BEng with electrical engineering experience
  • Excellent communication skills, collaborative and self - motivated
It would be nice for you to have:
  • Structured wiring system and security system design experience
  • Business development and proposal writing experience
  • Knowledge of construction industry design processes and procurement arrangements
  • Resource planning and management experience
  • Fire alarm and emergency lighting design experience
  • Ability to develop effective team management skills
