We are looking to appoint a Principal Building Services Engineer (Mechanical) to be based in any one of our 13 x UK offices.

We are looking to appoint a commercial, forward-thinking and solution focused Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Services team in Bristol. You will be delivering exceptional technical and commercial solutions to a range of clients across the private and public sector; includineducation, defence, healthcare, pharmaceutical and commercial.

Your core responsibilities will include: 
 
  • Preparing and managing designs, feasibility studies, reports and contract documents.
  • Carrying out building analysis.
  • Liaising directly with Clients and Contractors and promote business development.
  • Supervising a team of engineers and technicians and assist in management of project resources and costs.

About You

 Our ideal Principal Building Services Engineer (Mechanical) will have:
 
  •  HND/Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  •  Significant experience of mechanical building services / HVAC design (ie. domestic water services, ventilation, heating, cooling).
  •  Hands on knowledge and understanding of IES, Hevacomp and AutoCAD; experience with Revit MEP is desirable.
  •  Knowledge of current legislation e.g. UK Building Regulations, also Low/Zero Carbon Technologies and BREEAM.
  •  Excellent communication skills, collaborative and self - motivated.
  •  Chartered Engineer (CEng) or IEng, BEng with mechanical engineering experience.
  •  Knowledge of construction industry design processes and procurement arrangements.
  •  Excellent design skills across a variety of sectors.
  •  Resource planning and management experience.
  •  Business development experience.
