As part of our ambitious growth strategy, we are looking to appoint a Graduate Heritage Building Surveyor to join the team in our central London office.

As a Graduate Heritage Building Surveyor, you’ll work on live projects across conservation, National Trust, culture, and heritage. You’ll support the Heritage Building Surveying team while developing your professional knowledge and skills on exciting, complex conservation schemes and programmes.

You will be joining a supportive network as part of a national team, where you will receive valuable training, guidance and genuine scope for career development.

Your core duties will include:

  • Supporting the preparation of surveys, designs, reports and contract documents, including drawings.
  • General administration of team projects.
  • Supporting with the development of heritage impact assessments and Listed Building Consents.
  • Support senior leads with the delivery of major complex heritage projects 
  • Managing small / medium sized projects as appropriate.
  • Attending meetings/ presentations where appropriate.
  • Supporting / undertaking on-site or other survey work.
  • Ensuring that you understand and comply with all Health & Safety requirements, practices, and procedures.

About You

In order to be considered for this role, you will have:

  • A RICS accredited degree in Building Surveying (Expected/Achieved).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as you will be liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team.
  • Able to work to deadlines and manage time with multiple tasks.
  • The right candidate will demonstrate a desire to learn, a hunger for progression and conscientious attitude. 
  • To be committed to continued professional development and are looking to achieve MRICS statutes within 3-4 years.
  • Previous experience working with heritage organisation either English Heritage, National Trust or within a World Heritage Site is desirable.
