Pick Everard are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Bid Writer in Leicester to join Pick Everard’s Bid Hub – a central team responsible for tender management across all our divisions and offices.

This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring bid writers to develop their skills and begin their career in proposals management within a national consultancy. If you have a passion for writing and are eager to contribute to a dynamic organisation, this could be the perfect role for you. As part of a supportive national team, you’ll benefit from comprehensive training, ongoing guidance, and clear opportunities for genuine career progression.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Identify, review and log new bid enquiries from clients.
  • Provide proof reading and editing support to Bid Writers and Managers.
  • Review, log and circulate tender Q&As.
  • Assist in the design and completion of storyboards and bid plans.
  • Complete company information and company responses within bids.
  • Complete CVs and case studies to within bids.
  • Collate information to support bid proposals.
  • Report on bid progress through appropriate internal channels.

About You

Our ideal Assistant Bid Writer will have:

  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
  •  Experience or aptitude in reviewing and editing written content.
  •  Good time management and organisational skills.
  •  A personable attitude, with the confidence to engage with colleagues at all levels.
  •  Excellent attention to detail.
  •  A general understanding of (or willingness to learn about) the construction and property industry.
  •  Degree-level education, ideally in English, History, or Engineering.
