If you answered yes to the above questions, we want to hear from you!

We are seeking a competent and appropriately qualified Clerk of Works to join our construction and project delivery team. This role is suited to an individual with strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail and experience within a construction inspection, Clerk of Works or site inspection environment.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing and familiarising yourself with all relevant project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, programmes and planning information.
• Carrying out regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, materials, progress and compliance with contract requirements, specifications and Building Regulations.
• Attending site progress meetings and providing clear updates on quality, progress, and any issues or risks identified on site.
• Monitoring contractor performance and reporting concerns relating to workmanship, programme, safety, or compliance with the Employer’s Requirements.
• Liaising effectively with contractors, consultants and stakeholders to support the smooth and coordinated delivery of works on site.
• Reviewing contractor quality management documentation, including inspection and testing plans and associated records.
• Ensuring works are inspected at appropriate stages before being covered up and witnessing testing and commissioning activities where required.
• Identifying, recording and reporting any defects, non-conforming works, or discrepancies between site conditions and contract documentation.
• Maintaining accurate and timely site records, including inspection reports, photographic records and weekly progress updates.
• Supporting the handover process by undertaking snagging inspections and monitoring the completion of outstanding works.
• Attending final inspections at the end of the defects period and preparing schedules of outstanding defects where required.
• Maintaining awareness of health and safety requirements on site and reporting any concerns immediately in line with project procedures.
