Our Opportunity

Here at Pick Everard, we are passionate about creating a prosperous and sustainable future, taking a fresh perspective on the built environment. Our core values of professionalism, compassion, drive and positivity are at the heart of everything we do.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our London office, working as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering projects. You will play a key role in driving stakeholder and design management activities, often focusing on the early stages of project development to help shape successful outcomes from inception.

You'll become part of a growing national division, supporting a diverse portfolio of design and sustainability projects, including our work with the Ministry of Justice's Future Prisons Programme; a long-term sole supplier framework that is expected to continue over several years.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you will take direct ownership of project delivery rather than simply overseeing others. You will be actively involved in problem-solving, decision-making, and managing project outcomes, working closely with clients and project teams to ensure successful delivery at every stage.

Your Core Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Leading communication and coordination with clients and key stakeholders, building strong relationships and ensuring project requirements are understood and delivered effectively.

  • Developing and managing project programmes, overseeing design coordination, change management, risk management, and financial control throughout all RIBA stages.

  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure project outputs align with the client brief, programme requirements, and relevant regulatory standards.

  • Managing client and subconsultant contracts, including the procurement and oversight of specialist providers, ensuring contractual and commercial obligations are met.

  • Preparing and maintaining key project documentation, including Project Execution Plans (PEPs), Strategy Reports, Risk Registers, Progress Reports, and other project governance information.

  • Leading and chairing meetings with clients, stakeholders, consultants, and contractors, ensuring actions, decisions, and outcomes are clearly documented and followed through.

  • Working closely with clients from project inception to understand, develop, and refine their brief, applying a solutions-focused approach to deliver successful and mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Taking a proactive approach to project delivery, identifying opportunities, resolving challenges, and ensuring projects remain aligned with client objectives, programme requirements, and business goals.

Please note you must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role due to the nature of the projects you will be working on.

About You

Our ideal Project Manager will have:
  • An HNC, HND or degree in a construction-related discipline, supported by relevant industry experience.
  • Professional membership with a recognised industry body such as RICS, CIOB, CIBSE, or equivalent (desirable).
  • A strong understanding of building technology, construction methodologies, and project delivery principles.
  • Experience working with NEC contracts, with a strong understanding of NEC project management principles and the successful delivery of design and construction projects.
  • Sound knowledge of standard forms of building contract, with experience of contract administration and commercial management.
  • The ability to effectively plan, programme, and manage project activities to ensure successful delivery.
  • Experience monitoring project performance, including progress, budgets, costs, and resource allocation.
  • A clear understanding of risk management principles, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and transfer.
  • Strong IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and other project management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing bids, proposals, presentations, and client-facing documentation.
  • The confidence to build strong client relationships, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and lead projects to successful outcomes.

Unsure you tick every box? We still encourage you to apply as your experience might be a great fit for this role or other opportunities in our team.
